You will be trained in the Flourishing in Ministry research, how to integrate it with Christian spiritual formation, and how to apply it through the medium of ICF-Accredited coaching skills. When you complete the program, you will have met the minimum training hour requirements for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential. You will also be eligible to join the Flourishing in Ministry Coach Network so you can participate in coaching engagements and receive professional development.
Certificate of Completion in Flourishing in Ministry Coaching (45 ICF Training Hours)
Our coach training program designed for:

You will be trained in the Flourishing in Ministry research, Christian spiritual formation, and ICF-Accredited coaching skills. The program provides 45 ICF training hours, which can be applied toward an ICF Credential training requirement or the ICF Continuing Education requirement.
Participants in this track will not meet the minimum number of training hours needed to apply for the ICF ACC Credential unless combined with at least 15 additional training hours. Participants in this track will also not be eligible to join the Flourishing in Ministry Coach Network unless you have also successfully completed another ICF-Accredited coach training program.
FOUNDATION OF WELLBEING
Lead Conversations That Strengthen Clergy Wellbeing
You’ll learn the Flourishing in Ministry Wellbeing Model, built from 15 years of research with thousands of clergy. These insights help you understand the real pressures ministry leaders face and how coaching can meaningfully support resilience and renewal.

Lead Conversations That Strengthen Real-World Ministry Wellbeing
You’ll be trained in the Flourishing in Ministry Wellbeing Model, a framework developed from years of interviews and research with pastors and ministry leaders. Rather than abstract concepts, these five dimensions reflect the daily, lived realities of ministry:
- Daily Wellbeing – rhythms of rest, renewal, and emotional balance.
- Resilience – the capacity to adapt and recover through challenge.
- Thriving – living with meaning, purpose, and spiritual vitality.
- Authenticity – bringing your true self into ministry instead of “performing.”
- Relational Ecosystem – the network of family, peers, mentors, and congregations that sustain (or strain) ministry life.
You’ll learn how these dimensions interact—and how coaching can help ministry leaders strengthen each area in practical and deeply supportive ways.

Hear What Others Are Saying
The Flourishing in Ministry certificate program was excellent. I appreciated the opportunity to learn from a wide range of experts in their fields along with the opportunity to practice coaching with classmates. Most impactful for me was getting to learn in depth about ministry specific challenges and ways to coach those in this area. This course helped bring together my specific area of work and the work of helping those in ministry to thrive. I now have begun coaching pastors and am finding it to be deeply meaningful, and would recommend this program to those who want to better understand the unique challenges of ministry.
